Going deeper in our Catholic faith: We gather in the Fellowship Room on Thursday evenings, from 7-8:30 p.m. to watch a 45-minute video by Bible scholar Jeff Cavins, followed by an informal discussion. This term, we’re studying one of the most intriguing books, Revelation. There’s no fee or obligation to join or register. For those who would like to delve deeper, there’s a book of questions to complete weekly ($25 for book — optional). For more details, call Eva at sylazaruk@gmail.com.
A description of the course from the Great Adventure website — http://biblestudyforcatholics.com/
“In this intriguing look at one of the most talked-about books in Scripture, Jeff Cavins explores Revelation to demonstrate how the Kingdom established by Christ in His Church is intimately connected with the Kingdom of Heaven, especially through the celebration of the Mass. You will also learn what all the mysterious figures and images of Revelation represent, as well as what will happen during the Second Coming of Christ, what has already happened, and what is happening now in salvation history.
